Employer Sponsored Visa

Employer-sponsored visas are a popular way for skilled workers to migrate to Australia.

There are several employer-sponsored visa options available, including the Temporary Skill Shortage visa (subclass 482), the Employer Nomination Scheme visa (subclass 186), and the (Subclass 494) Skilled Employer-Sponsored Regional (Provisional) visa.

The visa requires the applicant to have the relevant skills, qualifications, and experience for the job, as well as meet Age, health, and character requirements.

The employer must also meet certain requirements, such as demonstrating that they are a genuine business and have a genuine need for the nominated position.

The application process for employer-sponsored visas can be complex and time-consuming, and it is recommended that applicants seek professional assistance to ensure that their application is complete and accurate.

Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa (subclass 482)

The Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa (subclass 482) is designed for skilled workers who have been nominated by an employer to fill a position that cannot be filled by an Australian worker. The TSS visa has three streams: the short-term stream, the medium-term stream, and the labour agreement stream. The visa is valid for up to four years, and it may be possible to apply for permanent residency after working for the same employer for at least three years.

Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) visa (subclass 186)

The Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) visa (subclass 186) is a permanent visa for skilled workers who have been nominated by an Australian employer for a permanent position. The ENS visa has three streams: the direct entry stream, the temporary residence transition stream, and the labour agreement stream.

Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) visa (SUBCLASS 494)

The Subclass 494 Skilled Employer-Sponsored Regional (Provisional) visa is a temporary visa that allows skilled workers to work and live in regional Australia for up to five years. This visa requires a job offer from an eligible employer in a regional area of Australia and nomination by that employer. The visa requires the applicant to have the relevant skills, qualifications and experience for the job, as well as meet Age, health and character requirements.

Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) visa (subclass 191)

The Subclass 191 Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) visa is a permanent visa for those who have held a subclass 494 visa for at least three years and have met specific criteria. This visa allows the holder to live, work and study in Australia permanently, and can lead to Australian citizenship.
