Temporary Graduate (Subclass 485)

The 485 visa, also known as the Temporary Graduate visa, is a type of visa that allows international students who have recently graduated from an Australian educational institution to remain in Australia temporarily to gain work experience.

The 485 visa has two streams:

  • The Graduate Work stream.
  • Post-Study Work stream.

The 485 visa provides an opportunity for international graduates to gain valuable work experience in Australia after completing their studies. Skilled—Recognised Graduate visa (subclass 476)

The Subclass 476 visa is a temporary visa that allows recent engineering graduates from eligible universities to work and live in Australia for up to 18 months. The visa is designed to provide graduates with the opportunity to gain work experience in their field of study in Australia, enhancing their career prospects.

To be eligible for the Subclass 476 visa, the applicant must have completed a degree in engineering from a recognised institution within the last two years. They must also meet other requirements such as English language proficiency and health and character checks.

The visa allows the holder to work for any employer in Australia and to travel in and out of the country as many times as they wish during the validity of the visa.
